Consultant-Ophthalmologist (Eye Specialist)

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Conduct OPD consultations for eye-related conditions

• Diagnose and manage common and complex ophthalmic disorders

• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries as per expertise (e.g., cataract surgery, minor eye procedures)

• Manage eye emergencies and trauma cases

• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans

• Interpret diagnostic tests such as refraction, fundus examination, tonometry, etc.

Patient Care & Safety

• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of patient records

• Follow hospital protocols and infection control guidelines

• Counsel patients regarding treatment, surgery, and preventive eye care

• Ensure patient safety and quality clinical outcomes
